In late July 2025, our company’s device management SaaS system (MDM.Plus) detected an external intrusion attempt. The attacker exploited a vulnerability in the system’s password reset function, attempting to gain unauthorized access by modifying login passwords of certain customer accounts. It is important to emphasize that this attack did not breach our two-factor authentication (management password) protection mechanism. Only account login passwords were altered, with no access obtained to core data such as unlock codes, and no actual losses occurred. Upon discovery, we immediately activated our emergency response plan, restoring affected account passwords within one hour and patching the vulnerability within two hours, ensuring uninterrupted customer operations.
Swift Case Resolution Through Police-Business Collaboration
We regard cybersecurity as our lifeline. Immediately after the incident, we reported the case to the Mianyang Public Security Bureau’s Cyber Protection Unit and established a joint technical team to assist in the investigation. Through close collaboration between law enforcement experts and our technical team, the suspect was swiftly identified via the following actions:
Data Tracing: System log analysis precisely identified the attack path and IP address.
Technical Forensics: Attack request samples were extracted to reconstruct the intrusion methods.
Joint Operation: The public security authorities promptly filed the case and, through cross-regional coordination, apprehended all suspects by early August.
The case is now proceeding to litigation, with judicial authorities advancing the trial in accordance with the law. We will continue to fully cooperate with the investigation, firmly upholding order in cyberspace.
